Day 1 - Welcome to the
Wilderness

Tromsø or Lofoten – Harstad/Narvik Airport → Gratangen / Arctic Inn

Your journey begins with a personal pickup from Tromsø or Harstad/Narvik Airport, followed by a scenic drive along Northern Norway’s stunning fjord coastline to Gratangen.

Visit Polar Park to observe wolves, lynx and musk ox in their natural surroundings before discovering the region’s rich coastal heritage with a guided tour of the Gratangen Boat Museum.

Experience authentic Sámi culture at a traditional Sámi camp, where you’ll enjoy coffee by the open fire, local storytelling and, weather permitting, an unforgettable husky sledding adventure.

Arrive at Arctic Inn and check into your Suite with Fjord View. Unwind in the sauna, enjoy a delicious dinner, and relax by the fireplace lounge. On clear evenings, the Northern Lights may appear just outside your door.

Day 2 - Day trip to Lofoten or Vesterålen

Fjords, Fishing Villages & the Open Sea

Start the day with an early breakfast before setting off on a full-day minibus excursion to Lofoten (Svolvær & Henningsvær) or Vesterålen.

Enjoy spectacular scenery with stops at pristine beaches, dramatic mountains and charming fishing villages, complemented by a visit to a local café.

Return to Arctic Inn in the evening for dinner and a relaxing evening by the fireplace. For those wishing to continue the adventure, an optional Northern Lights safari to a nearby viewpoint is available.

Swedish Lapland

Crossing the Border into Swedish Lapland

Continue your Arctic adventure with a snowmobile safari through the peaceful wilderness, followed by an outdoor lunch served around an open fire.

Return to Arctic Inn in the evening to unwind in the sauna, enjoy a delicious dinner and spend the night watching for the Northern Lights from the comfort of the hotel.

Day 4 – Mountain Adventure & Return

A Scenic Finale to Your Arctic Journey

If your trip ends on Thursday, enjoy breakfast at Arctic Inn before departing for Narvikfjellet. Take the panoramic gondola and admire breathtaking views over the Ofotfjord, with time for a café visit or the War Museum before returning to Tromsø in the afternoon.

If your trip ends on Monday, enjoy breakfast and check out before returning by comfortable minibus to Tromsø or Harstad/Narvik Airport. From there, you may connect to your flight or choose to stay overnight in Tromsø independently.

Weather & Northern Lights

Flexible itinerary

All activities are weather dependent. To provide the best possible experience, the order of the itinerary may be adjusted according to weather conditions. Should an activity become impossible to operate due to severe weather, it will be replaced with a suitable alternative of comparable value. As weather conditions are beyond our control, refunds cannot be issued for itinerary changes.

Maximise your chances of seeing the Northern Lights

This carefully designed route offers exceptional opportunities to witness the Aurora Borealis. Travelling from the dramatic coastline of Lofoten, through the mountain landscapes of Southern Troms, and into the inland regions of Lapland, we pass through several distinct weather and cloud zones. This significantly increases the likelihood of finding clear skies and favourable conditions for viewing one of nature’s most spectacular phenomena.
